I am SO excited to take off for the week (July 14th – 17th) for some much needed rest and relaxation to Invermere with my little family. It has been a crazy busy few months and I am pooped! As for other holidays, I will be away for July 23rd – 28th and August 29th – September 5th. Just a thank you to my wonderful clients – you all have been great to work with and looking forward to seeing you again. Have a beautiful and safe summer!

July 10, 2008Seeing Double
July 10, 2008To all the parents with twins or multiples… I think you are wonderful!! It is a hard job taking care of one, but two or more – wow! Photographing twins is always interesting and rewarding. This is twins set #2 out of five I will be photographing within a month (yes, I said a month and this is highly irregular, but most recommended). Check them out!
Diva & A Player
July 8, 2008Today was a fun session with going to a favorite place of mine. Favorite places… I wonder why we are tied to them as we are and compelled to draw us back. I think it does come down to who we are and obviously what we love – for me, I enjoy old things (like the smell of an 1900’s book or old houses with hiding spaces). It makes me think of all the people who have touched, read, built or hid from the days long ago. I guess it is the character, soul & comfort about these favorite places and things.
Well, here is a cutie for you with a savvy little dude! Enjoy the sun little ones and hope you had a great slush after!
Roots
July 7, 2008This last weekend I got to sneek in a visit to see ol’ Mom & Dad. I grew up on a farm near Edmonton (and really did love it despite the fact it drove me crazy as a teen). As you grow older, you really value your parents and where you come from. I went to a family function while there (I got to say here, I don’t know very many kind of famous people, but Mr. Stelmach – Alberta premier, is a close family friend, and of course ever since he came into office it is always weird seeing at these functions?!?!? – but pretty cool knowing him (: nice person), and got to also get a chance to visit where friends and families of our ancestors lived and grew with their families. It was pretty cool, especially having my dad give me a history lesson over the last hundred years. I think after going through this particular house, I thought it was the most interesting thing and then realized how wonderful it was to share some time with my dad (as adults don’t get to do as much). That was the most special of all. Before we started, my dad even said to me… let’s go on a little adventure – and indeed we had. Thank you Dad – I love you to pieces and I am looking forward to our next one.

Dear clients…
July 7, 2008I am going to get the hang of this blog thing… I believe it is to give you “sneak peeks” of your session before your proofs up as you are eagerly waiting for your proofs (thanks for reminding me Edmonton ladies). So please keep in touch as I will do my best.
