I am off to a photography workshop starting Thursday, March 27th – Thursday, April 3rd. I am studying under a brilliant child photographer in San Diego and hope to come back with more inspiration and wisdom. I am happy to annouce a new style coming soon called “Renaissance” to my site. It will contain deep and vibrant colouring with an old world feel. This look is best for babies and children to create timeless portaiture. As my site changes within the next couple of months, a gallery will be provided for you to view.
It has been an overwhelming and wonderful time these past several days learning and meeting photographers from everywhere. It has made me feel so proud to be doing what I do and thank my clients from the bottom of my heart for supporting me. I must say, Vegas makes you do crazy things and that is why I am not in any photos to share – lol! Take care and talk soon as I am getting through my correspondence…

Before I go today for awhile, I wanted to give my clients a sneek peek waiting for next week’s images. I have been really slack updating my galleries everyone – sorry, but here are a few from this week’s last pregancy session. My style has changed a bit compared to my gallery… check it out!
Well, I must say I am super excited to meet and learn from hundreds of photographers from all over the world the next several days!! I will be off to Las Vegas today until Thursday at the WPPI convention and hope to still hear from everyone by email at kristen@kristenshima.com. I just hope I still get some good REM sleep like this little one!
Here is one last week from my mini-session events I have at The Urban Treehouse each month. She would not turn around for the life of her, but it still gives me a great shot showing who she is as a little girl at this moment – just precious! Keep checking back to the site as I am revamping my logo, my site, adding a new site and creating new products and ideas over the next couple of months. I am extremely excited about continuing to develop my styles from last year to take it to another level…. vintage couture, urban chic and modern contemporary!!! Oh, so sweet was this guy was! His little hat reminded me of baby piggy ears – he was a joy to photograph. Mom – you were wonderful to get to know and Grandma too!
